Curriculum and Instruction
Curriculum defines what we teach and what students are expected to learn. Our goal is to equip our students with the knowledge and skills necessary to shape their futures as productive citizens. Instruction must be supported with curriculum that sets high expectations for teachers and students.
Working as a team, our teachers develop, implement, review, evaluate and revise curriculum routinely. District curriculum and resources are used to guide lesson planning, scaffold information, provide differentiation, focus on appropriate standards, deliver research-based instruction, and integrate technology to support learning.
The process of curriculum development and revision ensures high quality instruction, content, and equitable access to learning for all students. Through this process, our district can better realize its vision of enabling “students to become responsible, productive citizens in our changing world.”
