Shawna Land is the fourth grade math and science teacher at Richards School. She began her teaching career in 1993 as a Title I Aide at Junction Hill School. In 1998 she took a Title I Aide position at Glenwood School, where she remained until 2014.
In 2012, she received her Teaching Certificate and began teaching 2nd grade. In 2014, she came to Richards School, taught 2 years in 2nd grade, then moved to 1st grade, where she taught for 9 years.
After going back to college to further her degree in one of her favorite subjects, math, Mrs. Land chose to move to fourth grade, in 2025.
She is married, has two grown children, three cats, one dog, and several classroom pets!
