Degrees and Certifications:
Premer holds a Specialist Degree in Educational Administration and a Masters Degree in Educational Administration from Missouri State University as well as a Bachelor's Degree from College of the Ozarks and an Associate’s Degree from State Fair Community College.
Mr. Jerry Premer
Mr. Jerry Premer began his career as the superintendent of Richards R-V School District in August of 2002. In 2012 he retired from his full time position and was later hired by Richards to work as a half time administrator for the district.
He has held the following other administrative positions in Missouri: junior high principal, athletic director and assistant to the superintendent at Gainesville R-V School District from 1996-2002. Before moving into administration Mr. Premer taught at Gainesville from 1984-1996 in the areas of physical education and drivers education and served as the varsity and junior varsity basketball coach and varsity baseball coach. He also taught physical education from 1982-1984 at Dora R-III School District and served as the varsity and junior varsity basketball coach, and varsity baseball coach. Mr. Premer resides on highway 14 west with his wife, Diana and many cats, dogs, horses, cows, chickens, gold fish and two pet turtles. He also has a daughter, Dominique and son, Dustin and four grandchildren, Melody, Mariah, Colton and Samuel.
Mr. Premer is still a board member of the Missouri K-8 Association. He still believes strongly in the K-8 educational model. When asked how he feels after working in the district for 19 years, he said, “I still enjoy our staff, students, and district patrons. We have a wonderful school. Go ROCKETS!
